Tim Peters' arresting images have been widely published and his work has earned awards from Applied Arts, Communication Arts, Santa Fe Center for Visual Arts, and Studio Magazine. His photographs exhibit exceptional clarity, fresh composition and a keen sense of timing. All these elements are embraced with a zeal for natural light. Capturing location photographs that are enticing and illuminating often leaves the viewer with the sense, that, as one described, "Makes you wish you were there!"
The presence of water in much of his work was nurtured by youthful canoeing, fishing and sailing trips to Algonquin Park, Lake Ontario, the Finger Lakes, and on the Niagara River. "I've always been fascinated by the way in which water moves and receives light. At times its currents and glasslike stillness can be magical!" In addition to a wide variety of commissioned work and stock sales, Tim is currently working on a new documentary book project that will be chronicled on this Web site throughout 2005. Please come back and visit during the coming months, as new images, photo essays and multimedia features will be published regularly! |
